The VA Space.

Connecting VAs and associates to grow their business how they want, when they want, with who they want.

What is The VA Space?

The VA Space exists to help VAs own their business, on their terms.

Created by founder Stacey Slack, The VA Space connects VAs and associates who want to grow their businesses while spinning every plate from maternity leave to dog walks, gymnastics club and the never not stressful school run.

It might surprise you to learn that VAs don’t work for the fun of it (just kidding, we really like getting paid); The Society of Virtual Assistants found that 88.2% of us rely on our VA business for all or some of our household bills. With only 8% of us registered for VAT, most of us are earning modestly.

The Society of Virtual Assistants found that VAs who work around 35 hours a week out-earn those who work 30 hours or less. It’s not just more hours equals more work: VAs who work more than 35 hours a week charge an average of 17% more an hour, every hour.

Why? VAs who work more hours have the leg-room to dig into their client’s most intimate needs and deliver that strategic, bespoke and deeply personal service that can only be found when you can spend time getting into your client’s brains, blockers and business.

35-50% of VA’s working hours aren’t billable: we know that finding the time to source, filter, interview and onboard new associates, or landing the right associate position, are barriers to achieving our potential; from taking the breaks we want and living the life we want.

We want to change that.

Who is the VA Space for?

Whether you’re taking your first steps into being a VA or you’re years into the game, 75% of us are in this to build a long-lasting business. And we do this by collaborating with kick arse people, taking breaks and, most importantly, growing at our own speed.

We see a collaborative community that empowers, encourages and enables every VA to grow and own the business that supports her every ambition.

Build your business, your way, with the VA Space.

Meet Stacey.

Stacey is the founder of All The Admin and The VA Space.

Since 2019 she’s been helping her clients get organised, get brave and stop getting in their own way.

As Stacey was trying to plan her second maternity leave in 2021, she had an associate family of 4. She had great friends, a supportive network. But even then, matching the right cover and the right client was a nightmare.

Stacey thought there must be a way to discover the brilliant VAs and OBMs  who aren’t in the usual groups - you know, when you’re too shy to speak up, you don’t think you’re good enough, or you the vibe of the group just is just not … you? How do you find opportunities then?

She thought there must be a better way to spend Wednesday nights and soft-play centre time than combing through Insta chats, WhatsApp groups and Facebook pages for the one, just-right, unicorn VA*.

These thoughts inspired Stacey to found the VA Space, to connect people who are looking for work and people needing trustworthy help. To make it simple, process-driven, transparent and positive.

Before starting All the Admin, Stacey was a production coordinator at ITV, keeping flagship shows like ‘Surprise Surprise’, ‘This Morning’ and ‘60 Minute Makeover’ running. Keeping track of every contributor, every cameraman and every presenter’s needs, legals, timings, coffee preferences, budgets and responsibilities, Stacey’s a devil in the detail person.

*because unicorns, sadly, aren’t real.
